Report: Chad Gable Dealing With Injury

Chad Gable is apparently dealing with an injury, which may keep him out of the ring.

According to a new report from Bodyslam.net‘s Cory Hays, Chad Gable is currently dealing with “an undisclosed injury.” Further details on the Bodyslam Patreon account noted that this is likely why Penta attacked Gable on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.

As seen on RAW, Gable was backstage with Ivy Nile when Penta approached. Gable abruptly concluded their “lesson” and went over to mock Penta, who just had a physical match with Bron Breakker. Gable teased finishing the job Breakker started, but Penta took exception to Gable repeatedly poking him in the chest. Penta superkicked Gable, then screamed “I told you, Cero Miedo” and snapped Gable’s left arm back before agents ran in to break it up.

It was noted that the attack allows Gable to be written off of television, “or reduce his workload temporarily while he recovers.” The exact nature of the injury, and timeline for Gable’s return are unknown. It was noted that the injury was significant enough to require WWE to change plans.

Chad Gable’s last match in WWE (as Chad Gable) was a loss to AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW. He also competes (…spoiler alert?) as El Grande Americano on the RAW brand. His last match as Americano was a Speed Championship match win over Berto that aired on June 18.
