Rumor Killer On Why EJ Nduka Is No Longer With AEW/ROH

A rumor was circulating on why EJ Nduka is no longer with All Elite Wrestling, with the superstar and a new report responding to it.

Things began with an early report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp. In his report, sources noted that AEW was finding it hard to put Nduka next to anyone without fear of Nduka “outshining” them.

The report mentions that this is a typical reasoning for why physically large talent have trouble in situations, but that there was nothing concrete to suggest it. Later in the day, Sapp took to social media to report on the issue more. In a post on X, Sapp said that a source close to AEW was “definitively” refuting the story.

Nduka himself addressed the rumors, taking to X to joke about the situation. In a post on social media, Nduka asked fans how angry the rumor made fans. He joked that, for himself, the news was a “4” out of 10 for him.

EJ Nduka had his AEW contract expire at the beginning of the month. He signed to AEW in 2023 after leaving Major League Wrestling. Beyond one appearance on Collision, where he appeared as an unnamed member of Swerve Strickland’s entourage during a weigh-in segment, Nduka was mainly utilized on the Ring of Honor brand. He was most recently part of a tag team with Lee Johnson in Ring of Honor.
