Report: Tyson Fury’s Status For Royal Rumble, WrestleMania Unclear Due To Visa Issues

Tyson Fury is reportedly experiencing a substantial obstacle on his road to WrestleMania.

Fury, the renowned boxer, made his WWE debut in 2019 and went on to face Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel on October 31. There, he defeated “The Monster Among Men” via countout. Fury has appeared on WWE TV multiple times since then; most recently, he was in the audience at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 on September 3. He punched out Austin Theory when he tried to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase during Roman Reigns’ match with Drew McIntyre. Fury then briefly stared down Reigns and celebrated with McIntyre after the match.

Sunni Upal of The U.S. Sun reports that WWE had been planning on having Fury appear at the Royal Rumble premium live even at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on January 28. Additionally, company executives had their sights set on having Fury compete at WrestleMania 39 in April. However, these hopes are looking “slim and complicated”, as Upal reports that Fury is banned from entering the United States due to his links to alleged Irish mob boss Daniel Kinahan.

The report cites a source who claims that Tyson Fury is “well loved” by WWE, but it’s up to him to get clearance to enter the United States, depending on how US immigration views the case. However, the source noted that WWE’s international shows could be a logistical workaround.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
