Tony Khan Reveals Changes To AEW Full Gear Eliminator Tournament Schedule Due To Injury

Tony Khan has announced that the AEW Full Gear Eliminator Tournament finals will not take place this weekend as originally scheduled.

All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan took part in an AEW Full Gear Media Call this afternoon, where he answered a variety of questions. During the call, Khan was asked about the future of tournaments in the company, which gave Khan the opportunity to address the changes made to the ongoing Full Gear tournament.

According to Khan, the backstage segment that was done between Lance Archer and Ricky Starks to delay the match was due to a legitimate injury Starks was suffering from, and they were unable to clear him in time in order to have the match on last week’s episode of AEW Rampage.

Instead, Starks will face Archer this Friday night on AEW Rampage. The winner of this match will face Brian Cage Saturday night on AEW Full Gear: Zero Hour.

But due to the timing being changed around, this will bump the final match of the tournament to next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

This news must be disappointing to Ethan Page, who was scheduled to have his first pay-per-view match with the company since Double or Nothing earlier this year. At this point, Page has yet to have a singles match on an All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view.
