Johnny Gargano vs. Chad Gable w/Otis
Gargano and Gable trade submission attempts. Neither man can get an advantage. Gable takes Gargano downs with a spinning toe hold into a hammerlock. Gargano gets to his feet and locks in a side headlock. Gable sends Gargano into the ropes. Gargano flips out of the corner and surprises Gable with a ranna. After a series of reversals, Gargano gets a crucifix pin. Gable kicks out. Gable blast Gargano with a right hand. Gargano drops like a sack of bricks. Gargano sends Gable out of the ring.
Gable gets to his feet. Gargano hits a senton off the apron. After the break, Gable is working over Gargano’s knee. Gargano fires up and lands the slingshot spear. Gable kicks out. Gargano tries the roll-through kick but Gable turns it into an ankle lock. Gargano escapes. Gable hits a Canadian backbreaker into a DDT. Gargano kicks out. Gable reverses Gargano’s wheelbarrow into a German suplex. Gargano kicks out.

Gable tries a flying headbutt. Gargano moves out of the way and locks in the Gargano Escape. Gable reverses that into an ankle lock. Gargano floors Gable after a series of reveals with a lariat. Gargano manages to hit One Final Beat for the win.
Winner- Johnny Gargano
After the match, Otis hits the ring, and Gargano superkicks him twice. Gargano crotch chops at Otis and rolls out of the ring. As Gargano is walking up the ramp, Austin Theory hits him in the back with the MITB briefcase. Theory takes a selfie with Otis and Gable.
In-Ring Segment: Austin Theory
Theory says someone had to show Johnny Wrestling how things work around here. The crowd starts a “What?” chant and Theory goes nuts. Kevin Owens walks out on the stage. Owens tries to speak but Theory tells him to shut up. Theory is tired of people like Owens, Gargano, and Tyson Fury stealing his spotlight. Owens says we’ve heard all this for months now. Theory used to be the chosen one but that’s not how things work around here anymore.
Theory says he’s done more in five months than Owens and Gargano have done in five years. Owens reminds Theory that everything that has happened over the last five months was handed to Theory. Owens notes that when he won the Universal title it was handed to him, but that is all they have in common. 100s of guys that look like Theory have come and gone over the years.

Guys that look like Owens and Gargano are one in a million. They are the heart of this business. Theory is like the appendix… he’s expendable. Owens hopes Theory is the future of WWE, but he doesn’t think he has what it takes to be the future. Theory tries to speak but Owens screams in his face and tells him to prove him wrong.
Theory flexes and tells Owens he’ll never be like him. Owens notes that trying to talk sense into him didn’t work but maybe this will. Owens decks Theory. The two brawl. Referees hit the ring and try to break it up. Owens almost hits a Stunner but Theory slinks away. Theory’s nose looks to be broken.
