Matt Cardona is coming back to Chicago.
Game Changer Wrestling has announced that Cardona will return for GCW The Art of War on September 3. The event will be held at Grand Sports Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as part of the Second City Summit on September 3. In recent months, Cardona has been sidelined with a torn bicep he suffered at GCW Downward Spiral in May, but he returned to the ring at NWA 74.
Cardona memorably lost the GCW World Championship in an impromptu match against Jon Moxley at The Art of War Games 2021. He has since referred to this loss as the “Chicago Screwjob.”
