Sean Waltman has his eye on Santos Escobar, and the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion was quick to let him know he’s up for the challenge.
Waltman was a guest on this week’s episode of The Bump and talked about the current NXT product. Asked by Kayla Braxton to name a few possible opponents if he were to step back inside a WWE ring, Waltman said he’s got his eye on a few potential candidates he could face off with and team up with.
“I tell you what—Sami Zayn, you were talking earlier about [him]. There’s some people in NXT, Santos Escobar. I see you. There’s some tags—MSK, I love those guys. I would do a six-man with them. I don’t know, there’s a ton. It’s just insane.”
MSK’s Wes Lee responded on Twitter, saying all Waltman needed to do was “Just say the word, Unk.. You know we gotcha..” The pair were recent guests on Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast and talked about how he’d influenced their careers, including in their ring gear and getting his permission to use the Bronco Buster move.
Santos Escobar also took notice, letting Waltman know that he was watching the show—and proposed a stipulation if that six-man tag match ever took place.
Santos indeed is watching right now… I see you @TheRealXPac 6-man tag and if I win… ONE on ONE??☠️?? https://t.co/pc6ST2ls1r

It remains to be seen if and when Waltman returns to the ring, but he certainly has some great ideas in mind. In April, Waltman noted that has been recovering from surgery and working toward an in-ring return, but would also entertain the idea of facing off with Sami Zayn at SummerSlam in 2022.
