This year’s NXT Breakout Tournament competitors are officially announced: Trey Baxter, Carmelo Hayes, Andre Chase, Josh Briggs, Ikemen Jiro, Joe Gacy, Odyssey Jones, Duke Hudson.
NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Way (v) vs. Io Shirai and Zoey Stark
Shirai lands a series of dropkicks to Hartwell. Hartwell sends Shirai into the corner. Hartwell and LeRae try to double team but Shirai escapes and takes them both out. Stark and Shirai double suplex Hartwell. Hartwell suplexes Stark on the top rope. Stark falls out of the ring. After the break, Shirai misses his moonsault. Hartwell puts Stark in Silence as LeRae puts Shirai in the Gargano Escape. Shirai escapes and goes up for moonsault after a distraction from Hartwell, LeRae lands a German suplex off the second rope. Hartwell hits a blue thunder bomb on Shirai as LeRae sails through the ropes and takes out Stark. Shirai kicks out. The lights go out and Tegan Nox appears on the stage, LeRae looks like she’s seen a ghost. Stark hits her finish on Hartwell for the win!
Winners and NEW NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Io Shirai and Zoey Stark!
After the match, Nox attacks LeRae.
Backstage, Toni Storm says Raquel Gonzalez is afraid of her.
During Swerve’s North American Championship Cypher, each member raps about their dominance in NXT.
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly
Both men tear into each other as soon as the bell rings. After the break, O’Reilly escapes Cole’s submission and locks in one of his own. Cole manages to get to the ropes. O’Reilly drives his knee into Cole’s arm. Cole sends O’Reilly into the turnbuckle shoulder first. Cole figure fours his legs around O’Reilly’s neck. O’Reilly fires up and beats Cole into the corner. Cole trips O’Reilly while on the second rope. O’Reilly crashes and burns. Cole slams O’Reilly’s knee into the ring post over and over again. After the break, Cole and O’Reilly are trading strikes. Pump kick by Cole.
O’Reilly tries to rebound off the ropes but Cole traps him in a kneebar. Cole has to break at the four count. O’Reilly catches Cole with a dragon screw in the ropes. Cole and O’Reilly take turns kicking each other in the knee. Cole chop blocks O’Reilly, then hits a shining wizard. Cole misses the Panama Sunrise. Cole leaps over a sweep by O’Reilly. Basement Superkick by Cole. O’Reilly immediately hits a DND with a bridge for a near fall. Kawada kicks by O’Reilly. Cole tries to answer but O’Reilly takes Cole down to the mat. O’Reilly tries an armbar. O’Reilly puts Cole in a Heel Hook. Cole turns it into a figure four. O’Reilly turns that back into a Heel Hook. Cole gets to the ropes.
O’Reilly lands an ax kick. Cole hits an enziguri. O’Reilly hits a kick of his own but the momentum sends him out of the ring. Cole hits the Panama Sunrise off the apron. Cole sends O’Reilly back in the ring. O’Reilly kicks out. O’Reilly hits a brainbuster. O’Reilly goes up top and misses the King Kong Knee Drop. Cole hits the Last Shot. O’Reilly kicks out. Cole tries another Panama Sunrise but O’Reilly lands a high knee. O’Reilly used his injured knee, so hit immediately hits the mat. Cole recovers and hits another Panama Sunrise. Cole hits the Last Shot for the win.
