Earlier today, Wade Barrett had a sitdown interview with Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa. Thatcher declines to say what his injury was. Ciampa says he knows the fight pit is Thatcher’s match. Barrett asks why there is hostility between them. Thatcher says Ciampa came at him. Thatcher doesn’t have any issues with Ciampa. Ciampa says Thatcher takes liberties with his trainees so in the fight pit he will take liberties with him.
Backstage, Adam Cole says The UE isn’t worried about Dunne and Co .interfering in their match later.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: MSK vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Jake Atlas
Carter and Atlas start the match. Atlas and Carter trade flips before Atlas locks in an armbar. Carter runs into a flying back elbow. Scott tags in and continues to work Carter’s arm. Carter flips his way out of it. Carter surprises Scott with a springboard corkscrew splash. Scott kicks out. Lee tags in and locks Scott in a wrist lock. Scott tosses Lee into the corner. Atlas tags back in and eats an elbow from Lee. Lee hits the ropes but Scott pulls Lee out of the ring.
A brawl starts outside the ring. Lee flattens everyone with a dive to the outside. After the break, Carter manages to tag in Lee. Lee clears the ring. Lee and Carter hit their finish but Scott breaks up the pin. Atlas and Scott hit a spin-out slam/450 combo. Carter breaks up the pin. Atlas and Scott sit Lee on the top. Carter pulls Atlas to the outside area. Lee and Scott fall to the mat. MSK drops Scott with an assisted blockbuster for the win.
