In-Ring Segment: The Way
Johnny Gargano says they are here to celebrate because he broke “The Curse”. He has reversed the curse. Candace LeRae says Gargano may be the most powerful man to ever exist. LeRae says she has a gift for her husband. LeRae gives Gargano a plaque to celebrate his achievement. Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell say they have a gift for Gargano as well. They present him with a drawing of The Way as superheroes. Gargano announces The Way will be in the Dusty Classic.
Shotzi Blackheart interrupts. Blackheart says she didn’t forget about LeRae. Theory charges at Blackheart but Blackheart shoots him in the nuts with a missile. Blackheart clears the ring. Gargano hops on the apron. Kushida runs down to ringside and pulls Gargano off. Kushida joins Blackheart in the ring. Host Dexter Lumis rings the bell to indicate he’s making this a match right now. Gargano and LeRae are livid.
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae vs. Kushida and Shotzi Blackheart
LeRae works over Blackheart. Blackheart manages to tag in Kushida. Kushida lands a flurry of moves. Kushida and Gargano trade submission attempts. Kushida locks Gargano in an armbar. Gargano gets his foot on the bottom rope. LeRae stands in the way so Kushida can’t attack. Kushida flips Blackheart into a standing sliced bread #2. Kushida holds the ropes open so Blackheart can hit a suicide dive. Hartwell and Theory get involved. The referee catches Theory. Kushida pushes Theory into the ring. Kushida trips Gargano into Theory’s nuts. Kushida rolls up Gargano for the win.
