Backstage, Seth Rollins is holding Rey Mysterio’s mask.
After the break, Rollins says has never been better and that’s because of one man, Rey Mysterio. Rollins says after Money in the Bank he was in a dark place. Mysterio was sacrificed for the greater good. Rollins can’t begin to imagine how painful it was for Mysterio to get his eye damaged by the ringsteps. If this was Mysterio’s final act as a WWE Superstar it was a courageous one. It allows us to move into the future. Murphy and Austin Theory come into the frame. Under Rollins’ guidance, their ceilings are limitless. Murphy says he needed a leader. Murphy thanks Rollins. Theory thanks Rollins as well. Rollins adds that they are going to show Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo what happens when you get in the way of the Monday Night Messiah.
Backstage, Charlotte Flair is with Charly. Charly asks Flair if she has thought about what being a double champion would mean for her legacy. Flair says it doesn’t matter how many titles or wins she has. Flair raises the bar for this division. Asuka dances into the scene with the Women’s title. Asuka tells Flair that red is not her color.
