WWE Sued For Internal Records Over XFL Ties

According to a recent report from Bloomberg Law, WWE is currently being sued by a stockholder in the company, with the intention being to look at internal records to see just how much involvement the company has with the XFL football league.

According to the information, the lawsuit – which was filed on December 26 in Delaware Chancery Court by an Oklahoma firefights pension fund – claims that there is a “a credible basis to believe” that Vince McMahon and other WWE senior officers breached their duties to investors by diverting valuable resources from WWE to the XFL.

The lawsuit also suggests that the company’s board members have failed to conduct oversight to make sure that McMahon wasn’t engaging in any conflict of interests while dealing with both companies. Currently, the XFL is scheduled to kick off in two months time, with the season starting on February 8, 2020. The company has already reached many agreements with multiple broadcasters, including ESPN and Fox Sports, to broadcast games in 2020.
