This match was a career-making match and proved for the first time that not only could the women reach the same level as the men did, but they could exceed it. The first edition of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn saw Sasha Banks and Bayley steal the show in what many consider the greatest women’s wrestling match in WWE history.
The crowd, the setting, the characters, the emotions and the action in the ring told for a perfect story. Bayley would triumph in a culmination of years of hard work and passion. After the match, the two rivals embraced and Charlotte and Becky Lynch would join them and raise their hands in victory. The four would then display the “four horsewomen” sign on their hands, stamping with authority that they were indeed there to take over.
