#5.) NXT Farewell
Bayley had two magical matches in Brooklyn two years in a row. Since 2013, Bayley had significantly evolved as a character and NXT fans saw the transformation and journey and loved her all the more for it. She became an NXT staple who fans were emotionally invested in.
Her journey to the NXT Women’s title was one of the best-told stories in WWE this decade and she would have a dream run with the title, leading the women’s division of the yellow brand. The connection between NXT fans its superstars is something very unique and special as it all happens with a smaller demographic. She would lose the NXT Women’s title to Asuka and in her rematch at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II, she once again found herself as a challenger.
Asuka proved too good for her and the two embraced after the match. Bayley was given her moment with the crowd, who thanked her and gave her an ovation. Though there was no mention of a main roster call-up, it was evident that her time in NXT was done. She went over and hugged her biggest fan Izzy who wished her good luck and she would then point at the NXT sign on the ramp, signalling her exit. It was an extremely emotional farewell and a deserving one for one of the hearts and souls of NXT.
