#2.) The Ultimate Warrior – WrestleMania VII
A year prior to his WWE Championship win, Savage was a different man. He had left Elizabeth in favor of Sherri Martell, who controlled and manipulated him. Savage and Sherri cost The Warrior his WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble in 1991 and the two megastars would clash heads resulting in a high stakes match at WrestleMania VII that had a stipulation that if Savage lost, he would have to retire.
It’s not often that you hear of Ultimate Warrior and great matches hand-in-hand, but this undoubtedly stands as the best match of The Warrior’s career. Warrior would beat Savage and retire him. The post-match angle saw Sherri disown Savage, leading Elizabeth to come to his rescue and attack her. This led to one of the most emotional moments in the history of the business that saw Savage and Elizabeth reunite at last. It was a truly fitting moment and one of the greatest WrestleMania moments ever.
