#4.) Hulk Hogan – WrestleMania V
The iconic WrestleMania V main event was billed as “The Megapowers explode”. In what many consider to be the greatest slow-burning build to a big match ever, Hogan and Savage were allies for a good part of a year.
The story of the two top stars and their ego clashes and Savage’s insecurity and jealousy of Miss Elizabeth and Hogan stealing his thunder made for an outstanding build. When the two finally couldn’t take it anymore, it led to a heated break up and a massive WrestleMania main event. It simply didn’t get bigger than this.
The match was outstanding and had the crowd invested the whole way through. Hogan would ultimately prevail, ending Savage’s year-long title reign.
