#1.) Longest reigning world champion of the modern era
By late June 2018, Brock Lesnar crossed CM Punk‘s historic 434-day WWE Championship reign to become the longest reigning world champion of the modern era. Many fans weren’t very happy with the reign as Lesnar was a part-time champion, defending the title only once in a few months.
The frustration stemmed from the fact that it affected the entire RAW main event scene. After Lesnar did cross Punk’s reign, the talents’ frustration with having him as a part-time champion started to spill on-screen, with Kurt Angle even calling Lesnar “the worst Universal Champion ever”.
With that said, there’s no taking away from the fact that Lesnar achieved this. His reign as Universal Champion would become the longest world title reign in over 30 years. One could argue that having the title appear once in a while made it more special, but many have disagreed with this as well.
Regardless, it’s a feat that will likely not be topped for years or even decades to come.
