#2.) Main event WrestleMania
There’s little doubt that Rousey will be the first of two women to main event WrestleMania. The other writer? Charlotte Flair, of course. Rousey and Flair are and will continue to be the two biggest female stars in the company going forward.
It makes sense for WWE to advertise the first-ever female WrestleMania main event beforehand. And who better to put in the spot than the biggest mainstream name in the company? If marketed and hyped correctly, then it has the potential to be one of the biggest and most historical main events in WrestleMania history. There’s no doubt that it would be the milestone for the Women’s Evolution.
It’s all about getting the timing right. And when Rousey does eventually main event WrestleMania, it should be done at the right time and the right place. And it’s also important that WWE doesn’t hammer it in people’s heads that it’s going to be the first main event.
The best time for it to main event is simply when it’s the biggest and most important match on the card. How they manage to get there, only time will tell. Until then, WWE will have to keep elevating the women organically.
