#4.) Batista
When Evolution imploded in 2005, many wondered if the storyline went according to plan. Many believe that the WrestleMania push was supposed to be given to Randy Orton, but when his face turn didn’t work out, Batista became the beneficiary of it.
After Randy Orton’s feud with Triple H concluded, Batista started getting organically positive reactions from the audience. It was him who fans wanted to see turn on Triple H and Ric Flair. Thankfully, it did finally happen and the build to it was outstanding. It started off with Batista looking with mild disgust at Triple H for his mistreatment of Jim Ross and then it turned into sarcastic remarks and the tease just continued.
Batista would win the Royal Rumble in 2005 and when it came time to choose which champion to face, Triple H tried to manipulate Batista into choosing WWE Champion JBL as his opponent for WrestleMania 21. In one of the best segments in the history of RAW, the slow and incredible build would see Batista show the thumbs down sign to HHH, officially signing their match for WrestleMania 21.
With Batista winning at WrestleMania, it would kick-start a new era in WWE with he and John Cena as the two top stars of the company. The Animal has Triple H to thank for his rise to the top, without a doubt.
