#1.) Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles – Extreme Rules 2016
It’s not every day that both superstars come out of a feud looking great. AJ Styles was Roman Reigns’ first WWE title challenger after WrestleMania 32. While it was not expected from fans that he would win, the only thing that angered fans was the finish of both their matches at Payback and then Extreme Rules.
However, after an incredible match at Payback, Styles and Reigns had an instant classic at Extreme Rules, with Styles bringing out the best in Reigns. Despite not being successful at capturing the title, the feud seemed to do wonders for Styles in the eyes of the WWE officials as he would go on to defeat John Cena twice in the coming months and then capture the WWE Championship from Dean Ambrose just three months after the great Extreme Rules match-up.
