2002 saw the first-ever WWE draft and the first overall draft pick was none other than The Rock, who went over to SmackDown. He wasn’t exactly happy with the pick but went away. Unfortunately, he couldn’t create a huge impact on the brand overall because this was the period where he was clearly phasing out of WWE to transition into Hollywood.
He did, however, manage to capture the WWE title for the last time in 11 years before he eventually dropped it to Brock Lesnar. That was ultimately his role there and he’s mainly on this list for historical purposes.
