In 2002, in the very first WWE Draft Pick, the Number one overall pick happened to be The Great One, who was assigned to the SmackDown brand. Though he was getting increasingly inactive around this time, his run on SmackDown did see him pick up his second-last World Championship in an incredible Triple Threat match.
However, his reign wouldn’t last too long as it was solely meant to put over the young up-and-comer, Brock Lesnar. The Rock would quietly go back on a hiatus and unfortunately, he wasn’t able to make the most out of his run on the blue brand.
