While WrestleMania 21 was the culmination of the Evolution storyline, Vengeance 2005 was the true conclusion to the rivalry between Triple H and Batista. After failing to recapture the World title from Batista, Triple H would face him one last time inside the devil’s playground – Hell in a Cell.
It was Batista’s first-ever match inside the structure and he stepped up to the plate as many true big-game players have in the past. He showcased an entirely new side to himself and the story was simply that Batista was on a whole other level during that period. He truly was and there was no stopping his momentum. Batista would overcome Triple H in a war to truly cement himself as the World Champion of WWE.
