#2.) The student finishes the master with his stroke

Seth Rollins‘ babyface turn was one of the more interesting stories of 2016-17. Many wondered why he hadn’t turned babyface right upon his return from injury, but that was because there were plans later on. This plan was basically Triple H turning on him and it took many months before he could even get a response.

It should be noted that from 2015, when the curb stomp was banned, Rollins was allowed to use the pedigree as his finisher. It inevitably led to a clash at WrestleMania 33, where Seth Rollins was able to put away his mentor with his very own finishing move. It wasn’t the best match on the card, but from a storyline perspective, it wrapped up perfectly.

It would be the final time that Seth Rollins ever used the pedigree – and there was no better way to stop using it!
