#4.) Roddy Piper
In the 1990s, WCW tried to re-create the magic of Hulk Hogan vs Roddy Piper, this time with the roles reversed. At Starrcade 1996, Piper was a white-hot babyface while Hogan was with the nWo. Piper was the big hope and it inevitably led to a clash at WCW’s biggest PPV. In the event, Piper with all the fans behind him would actually end up defeating Hulk Hogan clean as a whistle, making him pass out in a sleeper hold.
The only confusing and rather stupid part of the whole situation was that Piper never asked for Hogan to defend the title, meaning that when he won clean, he didn’t become World Champion.
