It’s hard to argue that any superstar at any point in WWE history had a better year than Kurt Angle. The Olympic Gold Medalist was as legitimate as they came and he also happened to be the fastest learner in wrestling history at that point. His talent was immense and undeniable and he had to get through some very rough battles in order to be crowned King of The Ring.
He was already a former World Champion at this point, but this would kickstart another incredible run filled with years of championship and success at the very highest level.
