#5.) Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins – 2016
The first-ever WWE Clash of Champions main event was contested for the Universal Championship, where Seth Rollins, fresh off a babyface turn, was challenging Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. The match happened as a result of the circumstances that followed post-SummerSlam. Finn Balor, the inaugural champion, was forced to vacate it due to a shoulder injury and 7 days later, Kevin Owens would step up to the plate in a Fatal-4-Way match that also involved Seth Rollins.
Thanks to Triple H, Owens became champion and Rollins’ long-anticipated face turn was complete. Though the match in itself was good, the generic dirty finish thanks to Chris Jericho‘s distraction didn’t make for a very great PPV ending.
