The Higher Power storyline is still one of the most talked-about ones in WWE today. It was a story that was unconventional and unique for its time and it drew interest because there simply hadn’t been anything like it before. The original plans were reported to have none other than Christopher Daniels as the “higher power” and also Jake “The Snake” Roberts at one point.
However, it turned out to be none other than Mr. McMahon himself – the higher power who The Undertaker answered to. While there has been criticism of the big reveal, the fact of the matter is that it was still quite a good twist and definitely enhanced Mr. McMahon’s status as a heel.
