#4.) Shawn Michaels – Survivor Series 1996
Shawn Michaels was enjoying his first run as WWF World Champion. It was his dream come true and for the remainder of the year, Michaels would be a good champion, defending the title against some very worthy and scary opponents. However, his run as a babyface champion was getting stale and Madison Square Garden, where many of the hardcore fans were, did not take to Michaels the way the women and children did.
Michaels defended the WWF title against Sycho Sid at the Garden and Sid, who was usually a heel, was cheered heavily by the crowd, even positively interacting with them. It certainly felt like bizarro world bu the women and children were outnumbered and Michaels made sure to act like a heel during the match as well. He certainly played up his role well.
