This is one factor about being a top star in a promotion that’s often overlooked. The commitment it takes when you’re a chosen company man is on a whole other level. And Tanahashi was the right guy simply because for all those years, he was a selfless company man. He did whatever they told him to do and stayed loyal to the company and more importantly – the fans.
Such loyalty is rare in the wrestling business, especially today. While there have been many “company men” before, Tanahashi truly exemplifies that.
