Who could ever forget WWE’s first-ever ladder match? It took place between two leaders of the New Generation era – Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. After Michaels vacated the title, Razor Ramon stepped up to the plate and won the championship. It was simply a battle to prove who the true Intercontinental Champion was.
The two put on a clinic unlike ever before and it was years before anyone even came close to topping their effort (with some believing it has never been topped). At the end of it, Razor Ramon proved to be the true Intercontinental Champion. They would meet with the same stipulation and same title on the line nearly a year and a half later at SummerSlam 1995 and that time, Shawn Michaels got his revenge.
