#4.) Team WWE vs Team Nexus – Summerslam 2010
It was 2010 and the first batch of NXT superstars were called up from the game show, forming a dominant faction known as The Nexus. They undoubtedly made a big splash on the main roster from day one and the young rookies were being poised as the true future of the company. This applied none more so to Wade Barrett, who was the leader of the Nexus and had all the tools to become a main event star.
SummerSlam’s 2010 main event saw John Cena lead a team of elite superstars to take on the Nexus. It was a no-brainer that the rookies should have won the match to establish dominance. Edge and Chris Jericho seemed to think so, but John Cena disagreed. Unfortunately, his word had more power and at the final moment, Cena submitted Wade Barrett to pick up the win. Cena himself admitted in hindsight that it was the wrong decision.
