#4.) Randy Orton – WrestleMania 21

There was no time before 2014 where the streak was closer to being ended than at WrestleMania 21. This is a story that not many people know about. While there hasn’t been an outright confirmation, the rumors are that Orton was scheduled to break the streak and the decision was reversed as late as on the day of the event.

When speaking to WWE magazine in 2006, Orton stated that his anger and depression issues came to a head and he decided to smoke a joint. Someone seemingly sniffed it off him and complained to the higher-ups. Along with the fact that Orton had anger issues at the time and had a reputation of being hard to work with.

With Batista having taken his initially planned spot, beating Undertaker as a heel would truly cement his Legend Killer run. However, word got out and Vince McMahon changed the decision to have Orton win on the day of the show. In hindsight, it was the right call.
