#1.) Shawn Michaels vs Mankind – In Your House: Mind Games
Perhaps one of the most underrated matches in WWE history, Mankind vs Michaels is a match that Mick Foley has consistently called the favorite of his career. It’s not hard to see why. Mankind had an incredible debut year in 1996 and found himself in WWF Championship contention relatively early on.
It was a match ahead of its time and that was exemplified in a rare spot (at the time) where both Michaels and Mankind went through the Spanish announce table. It created a lot of shock value and even the overbooking interferences of Vader, The Undertaker and Sycho Sid didn’t take away from the match – if anything, it added to it.
Ultimately, Michaels won the war, living to fight another day as champion.
