CM Punk had a longer tenure than many people realize and he certainly created an impact in a big, big way. While he came from a place where in-ring performances were everything, his biggest strength was always on the microphone and he knew this and took advantage of this. None more so than in 2011, when he shot himself up to not only main event status but took the wrestling world by storm with his cutting-edge promos that essentially broke the fourth wall.
Punk was a natural on the mic and he used it to his advantage, essentially controlling crowds and getting them behind him (or against him). In a few more years, there’s little doubt that he’ll be considered among the all-time great talkers in WWE.
