#5.) Shawn Michaels vs Randy Savage
That’s right, not only were there plans for Shawn Michaels to feud with Randy Savage, but Savage wanted to put over the young Michaels as well. Remember, this was a few years before Michaels’ potential was even realized and it was also before Vince McMahon truly considered him a future main eventer.
Savage saw his potential as he was moving away from The Rockers and pitched an idea where Michaels would turn on Savage (who was a commentator at the time), forcing him to get back in the ring. It would lead to a series of matches culminating at WrestleMania IX, where the young Michaels would beat and put Savage back into retirement. It was done so Michaels could become a main eventer, but the plan never came to fruition and Savage left in 1993.
