#1.) Daniel Bryan getting squashed by Brock Lesnar
Remember the 2014 SummerSlam main event when John Cena got decimated and lost the WWE title to Brock Lesnar in a shocking squash match? That was supposed to be Daniel Bryan. Regardless of his epic title win at WrestleMania XXX, the plan was always for him to drop it at SummerSlam.
Bryan had gotten an injury by that point and told McMahon that he could work through it until SummerSlam and then drop the title. Unfortunately, the injury got too serious and he was forced to relinquish it much after. Perhaps for his own health’s sake, it’s better that the match didn’t happen. They did eventually clash over four years later at Survivor Series, where Lesnar won in a close contest.
