#1.) Tommaso Ciampa
While it is disputable, we believe that Tommaso Ciampa was not just the greatest NXT Champion in history, but he was the greatest champion, male or female. His run as champion was absolutely incredible and the quality of his opposition was second to none. It helped that the NXT roster was the strongest that it had ever been and he held on to “goldie” for 238 days before forcibly relinquishing it.
The story of his title reign was nothing short of incredible and he deserves a lot of credit for that.
