It was the early phase of the New Hart Foundation, and tag team champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog had to defend their tag team titles against the unlikely duo of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and a returning Shawn Michaels. Michaels had just returned from the controversial knee injury that made him “lose his smile” and there was a lot of excitement in the air.
The four superstars would put on a Monday Night RAW classic, taking it to the limit. The story was about Michaels’ return, and he didn’t miss a beat as he assisted Austin in winning the tag team championship. The celebrations wouldn’t last long as the rest of the Foundation would come in for an immediate assault.
