This entry might surprise some, given that Austin’s tenure on top wasn’t more than 3 years, give or take. He only headlined 3 WrestleMania events in total, but it’s about the impact that he created. While being the franchise player for WWE, he was the undisputed top draw of the company and spearheaded the way in WWE’s biggest moneymaking period at that point in history.
Austin was a megastar and every week, you knew it from the reactions he got. His WrestleMania matches were all impactful, and his match against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 is considered by many to potentially be among the greatest matches in WWE history.
