#1.) Shawn Michaels vs ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin – WrestleMania 14
Technically, this shouldn’t count, but because the story was basically DX vs Steve Austin, we’re going to add it in here anyway. From the band playing DX’s entrance live as Michaels entered, this match had what you call a “big fight feel” to it. Add to the fact that Iron Mike Tyson was the special guest enforcer and a member of DX, Austin certainly had the odds stacked against him.
It would turn out to be Michaels’ final match for a few years, as he retired due to some major back injuries. It marked the coronation of Steve Austin and just one of many times that he would have to fight against the odds to walk out WWF Champion.
