#5.) The first Triple Crown champion in WWE history
There are almost 30 Triple Crown Champions in WWE today, but long before it became a thing, there was only one man to do it – Pedro Morales. At the time, the Triple Crown consisted of the World Championship, Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.
Morales won his first title, the United States Championship a year into his run, winning a tournament finals to become champion. However, he would shockingly vacate it just a month later after defeating Ivan Koloff to become WWWF World Heavyweight Champion. It wasn’t until 9 years later that he would cement his Triple Crown Championship win, becoming Intercontinental Champion. He would have two incredible runs with the Intercontinental title, the second of which crossed 400 days.
Some even believe that he was more impactful as Intercontinental Champion.
