It’s crazy to think that an icon like The Ultimate Warrior has only one World title run. It happened at WrestleMania VI in what was dubbed as “The Ultimate Challenge”. Warrior was the Intercontinental Champion in 1990, while Hogan was World Champion. They had a teaser face-off at Royal Rumble the same year, and the crowd reaction spoke for itself. There wasn’t a single person sitting down.
It led to a Champion vs Champion match in the main event of WrestleMania VI, where Warrior defeated Hogan to become World Champion. His run would last for a nearly nine months before he dropped it. He was reportedly penciled in for another World title run in 1992, but more contract disputes canceled the plan.
