Jake “The Snake” Roberts may have had one of the most interesting journeys in pro wrestling. From his very birth, life was rough on him. He had a very rough family background that was filled with abuse and things far too sinister to mention here. He was, in fact, born into a wrestling family, but he wasn’t too aware of the workings of the business from an early age.
His father never made him aware that it was all a work, and he would come to the house selling injuries and wrapping up parts of his body. When Roberts did make it to the big time, he had already crossed 30, and he created an impact right off the bat.
