Hulk Hogan set the record for the number of eliminations back in the Royal Rumble 1990. However, the Rumble was a different affair then, as it was fought for prestige rather than a title opportunity at WrestleMania. The guaranteed title shot concept only began in 1993. However, 1990 was still a great Rumble.
It was quite star-studded. The biggest moment of the match was when Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior had “The Ultimate Showdown” after clearing the ring of all other superstars. It was a goosebumps-inducing moment that saw the crowd go wild. Hogan eventually prevailed and would face Warrior at WrestleMania a few months later.
