#4.) “Stone Cold” Steve Austin – 1997
Number of eliminations: 10
The next entry along with this is tied for the same number of eliminations. However, we won’t group them in together as they were two very notable performances. Austin was getting his first major push and he entered at #5, lasting 45 minutes in the match. He was the Iron Man and he racked up a whopping 10 eliminations, which was a tied record at the time.
He eliminated the likes of Owen Hart, The Undertaker, Vader and lastly, Bret Hart to win the Rumble. The match was marred by controversy, however, as Austin was technically eliminated at one point. He snuck back in the ring when the officials weren’t looking and ended up winning the Rumble match. Regardless of the controversy, it was an incredible showing for Austin, who was set to receive the push of a lifetime over the course of the next year.
