Who would have thought that 2018 would end with a heel Daniel Bryan as WWE Champion? The announcement of his in-ring return set the wrestling world abuzz and he made a triumphant comeback at WrestleMania 34. Things began to get back to normal for him and he was involved in a few significant feuds before later re-entering the WWE title picture.
He was unsuccessful at first but later won the WWE Championship after using dirty tactics and turning heel. It was something that no one saw coming and it hit a huge refresh button on his character as well. Apparently, Bryan had pitched for a heel turn for a while and it finally came to fruition. What the future holds for him is something we’re going to have to wait and see.
