Riddle and the Japanese legend Minoru Suzuki had a great babyface-heel dynamic. Though Riddle was loved by the crowd, the UK fans were well behind Suzuki as well. If you’re not aware, both superstars have an MMA background and this showed in an absolutely physical display as Riddle made the mistake of trading chops with the veteran.
It turned out to be a fantastic, 15-minute contest that even saw Riddle thrown over a few rows of chairs. El Desperado was the difference maker in the match as he interfered and attacked Riddle with a chairshot to the head, allowing Suzuki to hit the Gotch-Piledriver for the win.
