After surpassing Tanahashi, Okada then challenged Kenny Omega, with the two of them having one win apiece against each other (and a draw). In a 2-out-of-3 falls match, Okada gave everything he had in what would be the final defense of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Many considered this match to be even greater than their Tokyo Dome match and while that’s up for debate, it was a critically acclaimed bout, proving once again that any time the two step in the ring, they’re guaranteed to produce magic.
