What Harley Race did for Ric Flair, Flair did for Sting. There’s no superstar in the industry who Sting has to thank more than The Nature Boy himself. Through the years, Sting vs Flair became one of the most iconic rivalries in wrestling history and their match at Starrcade 1989 proved it.
There was nothing on the line but an Iron Man tournament. However, in 15 minutes, Flair and Sting created absolute magic in the ring and it led to Sting’s biggest career win up to that point. It was a career-defining moment for The Vigilante and he would go on to become the face of WCW for years to come.
